CCAs will be suspended for all levels including secondary school, JC & Millennia institute.
Ministry Of Education (MOE) has announced that it will gradually start face-to-face lessons from Monday, 11 October 2021. MOE has also announced it has cancelled year-end exams of primary 3 and primary 4 students due to disruptions caused by Covid-19. The year-end exams for primary 5 will be conducted under strict Safe Management Measure.
Re opening of Face-to-Face lessons
- Primary 1 & Primary 2 students to continue Home based Learning (HBL) on 11 & 12 October. They will be returning to face-to-face classes from 13 October 2021.
- Primary 3 to Primary 6 students will be returning to schools from Monday, 11 October 2021.
Parents of primary 1-5 students are requested to do Antigen Rapid Test at home and report the test results via link which will be sent to them, MOE said in a press release.
CCAs Suspended :
Co-Curricular Activities & other post school activities will continue to be suspended for all levels including JC & Millennia Institute.
MOE has further mentioned about PSLE marking exercise, said marking exercise will be conducted from Monday, 18 October to Thursday, 21 October. Primary school students no need to report to school during marking exercise & there HBL will not be conducted.
Tutions centres & PEIs (Private Education Institution) allowed to resume Face to Face lessons for kids aged 12 & below from Monday, 11 October with strict Safe Management Measures. MOE has also said that, Tution centers & PEIs can continue to conduct classes online where feasible as much as possible even though permission to conduct Face to Face classes has given.
“We will continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation closely and implement additional measures to keep school environment safe”, MOE.
MOE urged all the staffs, students to continue practicing personal hygiene & follow SMMs.
