A 44-year-old worker died on September 29 after an accident at a Resorts World Sentosa worksite.
According to news reports, authorities received an alert regarding the incident at approximately 8 a.m., when emergency services were dispatched to the site located at 8 Sentosa Gateway.
Upon arrival, first responders found the worker unconscious.
Despite the rapid response of the Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedics, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
RWS has confirmed receiving notification of the accident from the worksite contractor earlier that morning.
The incident occurred in the area where the Maritime Experiential Museum was previously located, an establishment that closed in 2020 to facilitate the expansion of the S.E.A. Aquarium.
This site remains accessible only to authorized personnel and is not open to the general public.
“The contractor and RWS are supporting the authorities in their investigation,” added the RWS spokesperson according to report.
The police have indicated that there is no suspicion of foul play, and comprehensive investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are underway.
