For their alleged involvement in online sales of fake products, the police have detained a man and woman, aged 21 and 20-years-old respectively.
According to the police press release, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department carried out an enforcement operation at various locations along River Valley and Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park on March 20, 2023, which led to the arrests.
Almost 1,100 pieces of allegedly trademark-infringing perfume bottles with a street value of more than $91,000 were recovered during the investigation.
Police investigations are ongoing.

Under the Trade Marks Act 1998, the offence of possession of goods with falsely applied trademarks for the purpose of trade carries a fine up to $100,000, an imprisonment term of up to five years, or both.
