A 23-year-old Cameroonian man, Karl Phillippe Njiomo Tengueu, is facing charges for allegedly forging a VIP ticket and a Singapore Sports Hub pass to gain entry to a Bruno Mars concert.
Tengueu appeared in court on Friday (Apr 12) facing a total of six charges, including forgery, criminal trespass, attempted criminal trespass, cheating, and attempted cheating.
According to CNA, Tengueu forged a Singapore Sports Hub staff pass on April 3 by digitally affixing his photograph and name onto a document resembling a legitimate staff pass. He also allegedly forged a VIP ticket allowing entry into a Bruno Mars concert on the same day.
Tengueu deceived the Sports Hub into thinking his staff pass was valid, allowing him access to the concert where he trespassed without a valid ticket. He attempted to enter the concert again on April 5, but was unsuccessful in deceiving the Sports Hub.
Tengueu has been remanded since April 6 and will have his case heard again on April 26.
If convicted of forgery, he could face up to 10 years in jail and a fine. For cheating, he could be jailed for up to three years, fined, or both. If found guilty of criminal trespass, he could be jailed for up to three months, fined up to S$1,500, or both.
