[Watch Video] : Three People Were Arrested After Fight At Getai Show, Video Viral

Three elderly people aged between 65 to 71 were arrested after a brawl at a getai event on Wednesday evening, Aug. 10.

The fight happened along Arumugam Road, next to Paya Lebar Road at a getai show in Lor Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple Association at 15 Arumugam Road.

When asked by CNA, the police said that they were alerted to the incident at about 6pm on Wednesday.

In a video circulating on social media, a woman in a red top is seen throwing a chair at another woman & a man was puching the same woman.

Women dressed in a red top is 71-year-old named Susan.

She was holding on to a chair and threw it at a 65-year-old woman present at the event in black dress.

The woman retaliated and attacked Susan with the chair.

The two women scuffled after the chair was dropped.

During the fight, the man appears to punch the woman in red at least three times, leaving her face bloodied, while the woman in black hits her in the back several times.

People present at the event tried to stop the fight & separate them.

According to Shin Min Daily News Susan had arrived at the temple at around 11am that day to place coffee and bread at the front row seats to reserve them.

She claimed the couple showed up at about 5pm and threw away her items.

Susan was reported as a known figure in the getai community. She would reserve seats for herself and her friends.

“I’m not in the wrong, they also attacked me, hitting me until I bled so I called the police,” Susan told Shin Min.

Police said a 69-year-old man, and two women aged 65 and 71, were arrested.

The 71-year-old woman was taken to the hospital.

Police said investigations are ongoing.
