By now most of us know about the tragic incident that happened on January 21, Friday evening.
Series Of Events :
At around 6:25pm the police received the call for assistance by a man at a playground along Greenridge Crescent.
The man who called the police was the father of two kids who were found motionless near the canal when the police arrived. After arrival both the kids pronounced dead at the scene by paramedic. The death was classified as unnatural death by police and the investigations are in process.
Officers from the police’s Gurkha Contingent were seen combing through the area behind the playground and canal.

When asked by ST, the family friend of deceased said that he met the kids before when they were 6-7 years old and they were “lively and energetic”. Straits Times also confirmed that the twins were children with special needs.
Look Out Message Viral :
When everyone was shocked to know about the death of 11-year-old’s and had no idea of how it happened, one post from a Singapore Taxi Driver’s Facebook group went viral on social media.
The group member Tek Wee said in a post “Not sure if this is related to the 2 boys, but since police are on the look out, I might as well post here. Hopefully members of the public can help”.
Replying to one of the member’s comment the user Tek Wee said “Last night I received this from Stride, I already feel strange bcos this is unlike the usual wanted person notice. Didn’t know tragedy has happened”.

A pair of ethnic Chinese, special needs twins aged 11. Reportedly, they are children with special needs.

In a 2m wide stormwater canal near a playground at Greenridge Crescent, Upper Bukit Timah. The site is described as a “secluded and quiet park”. The canal, described as large and deep, cuts across the playground.

No one has yet been named or arrested by the police.
The police have issued a lookout for a “tan-looking male of an unknown race, 30 – 40 years”. He was in a “grey shirt and sports shoes”. This person was last seen on Jan 21 (Friday), 1500hrs at Greenridge Crescent.
There is no pain greater than that of the loss of a child.

Let’s spare a thought for the grieving family and not speculate anything and comments insensitive remarks on the twins death. Let the police do the investigation, hope this case is solved as soon as possible.
