Two men aged 37 & 26 had gotten into a dispute in a dormitory at Woodlands Industrial Park, the police said.
In a press release from SPF, the police said that A 26-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in the death of a 37-year-old man.
What Happened and When ?
According to SPF, On 1 January 2022 at about 1.25am, they were alerted to a fight in a dormitory at Woodlands Industrial Park.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the 37-year-old man lying motionless on the floor with head injuries.
“Allegedly attacked with Wooden Plank Which Had Screws”
The 37-year-oldwas unconscious when conveyed to the hospital and subsequently passed away, the police added.
Preliminary investigations revealed that both men had gotten into a dispute, and the 26-year-old man had allegedly attacked the 37-year-old man with a wooden plank that had screws.
The 26-year-old man will be charged with voluntarily causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapon.
The offence is punishable with imprisonment for life and caning, or with imprisonment for up to 15 years, caning and fine.
