A swift arrest has been made by the police in a recent case of housebreaking and theft. A 27-year-old man was apprehended for his suspected involvement in the incident, which occurred in the early hours of 15 May 2023 at a mosque located along 30 Jalan Ismail. The culprit allegedly stole cash from the donation boxes on the premises.
Upon receiving the report at around 2:40 am, the police swiftly initiated an investigation. Through meticulous ground inquiries and the assistance of CCTV footage, officers from the Bedok Police Division successfully identified the individual and detained him within a remarkable three-hour timeframe.
The arrested man is set to face charges in court on 16 May 2023. He will be prosecuted for housebreaking and theft under Section 451 of the Penal Code 1871, an offense that carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years along with a fine.
