Malaysian actor Kamal Adli was attacked with an axe at the Singapore Expo on Sunday, 12th March, during the Mega Sale event.
According to the reports, the incident occurred around 9 pm, when Kamal was posing for photos with fans alongside his partner, Uqasha Senrose.
Suddenly, an unidentified man approached Kamal and hit him on the head with a chopper, a type of axe with a long handle, beritaharian reported.
According to the reports, witnesses who were present at the event were left in shock after seeing Kamal covered in blood. The attacker was reportedly carrying a knife as well.
Kamal Adli was taken to the hospital for treatment and is currently recovering.
When contacted by Berita Harian, the police spokesperson stated that they received a call regarding a fight at the Singapore Expo.
A 37-year-old man who was involved in the incident was conscious when taken to the hospital. Another 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack, and investigations are ongoing.
Kamal Adli is a well-known actor in Malaysia, having starred in popular TV dramas and films. The incident has sparked concern among his fans and colleagues, who have expressed their support for him on social media. Many have also called for stricter security measures at events, especially those involving celebrities.
