Four teenagers are currently assisting the police with investigations following a break-in at North Spring Primary School in Singapore.
Police Alerted of Criminal Trespass and Mischief
The police were alerted to the incident at around 8:40am on Thursday, which they described as a case of criminal trespass and mischief.
The teenagers involved in the incident are aged between 13 and 17 years old, ST reported.
According to SMD News, several desks and chairs within the school were found to have been overturned, indicating vandalism.
Principal’s Reassurance to Parents
In response to the break-in, the school issued an advisory to parents of North Spring pupils. The school confirmed that the incident occurred on Wednesday night and resulted in “minor vandalism to several areas within the school”, The Straits Times reported.
Mrs Jacinta Lim, the school’s principal, provided an update on the incident to The Straits Times on Friday. She reassured parents that steps have been taken to ensure the safety and security of the pupils and staff. Mrs Lim also confirmed that the school is working closely with the police on the case.
