In a decisive turn of events, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam emerged as the victorious candidate in Singapore’s Presidential Election, securing a commanding 70.4 percent of the vote.

The official results, revealed by the returning officer shortly after midnight on Saturday (Sep 2), also placed Mr. Ng Kok Song in second place with 15.72 percent of the vote, while Mr. Tan Kin Lian followed closely behind with 13.88 percent. Notably, 1.98 percent of the total votes cast were deemed rejected, amounting to 50,152 ballots.

These figures mirrored the earlier sample count, which had the three candidates at 70 percent, 16 percent, and 14 percent, respectively.

A day after the Presidential Election, Tan Kin Lian posted this message on his Facebook.

In a recent statement following the election, Tan Kin Lian clarified his perspective on the shocking election results. He revealed that his reaction was far from one of distress, as he had thought ahead with both Plan A and Plan B in mind.

He also shared that his pet named Cooper was sad after the election results announced last night on Sept 1.

TKL further wrote in comments that throughout his life, Mr. Tan Kin Lian has consistently dedicated his efforts to serving the greater good and the interests of the people as a whole. In response to the question, Tank Kin Lian cautioned, “I am sure you can find much better photos of pretty girls on other sites. You will be disappointed with my site,” adding a reminder to exercise caution in comments to avoid coming across as malicious.

He wrote “I will continue to spread this message through my Feedback website. As the election is over, there is no need for the social media and MSM to smear me”.
