On March 23, a 31-year-old woman was allegedly choked and hit by a man with his car in a multi-storey carpark at Clarke Quay, according to stomp.
The police received a call for assistance at around 3:15 am, and the victim was taken to the hospital, where she was conscious, according to a police spokesperson.
The man was arrested for rash act causing hurt, stomp reported.
The victim recounted the incident in an interview with Stomp, stating that the man was a friend of a friend who became a “bro.”
WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?
She claimed that the man was heavily intoxicated and assaulted her outside of Zouk Singapore.
“He pulled my hair and dragged me on the and then slammed me on the ground and hit my head,” she said.
“When I got up, he choke slammed me and the back of my head hit the ground. He then choked me until I almost suffocated and was passing out. He did it with no intention to release, and I had to scratch him out of self-defense. He then whacked me in the face.”
The woman added that when she attempted to stop the man’s car to call the police, he drove away at full speed and hit her, causing her to suffer full-body injuries.”

“I rolled from the impact and suffered full-body injuries with my head being the most serious because when I tried to get up, I felt blood dripping everywhere”.
“He just sped off in his car,” she said.
The victim stated that her left ribcage was injured, and she cannot open her left eye entirely, causing her vision to be affected.
The victim, who is seeking justice, plans to obtain a restraining order against the man.
“I can’t sleep, I can’t eat, every noise I hear I am paranoid,” she said.
“The scene keeps repeating in my mind, and all the bad dreams, cold sweats, and lack of appetite are making me very miserable now.”
She also said that she was too afraid to leave her house and had informed her security and concierge to tighten security.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
