A 29-year-old Singaporean man was sentenced to nine weeks’ jail on Monday (Aug. 24) after being convicted of voyeurism involving an AsiaOne employee at an industrial building in Bendemeer.
Reuben Goh Chin Kang pleaded guilty to one charge of voyeurism, while another charge was taken into consideration during sentencing.
According to AsiaOne, the incident took place at about 1.57pm on Oct. 6, 2025, at Block 996 Bendemeer Road, where AsiaOne’s office is located.
Goh had just finished a gym session at a nearby gym in Macpherson before stopping at the industrial building to use the bathroom.
He went to the second floor in search of a toilet and noticed that the female toilet was located next to the male toilet.
According to court documents, Goh entered the female toilet after feeling the “urge to peek inside”, although there was no one inside at the time.
He initially intended to leave after relieving himself but noticed a female employee of AsiaOne heading towards the toilet and decided to wait nearby.
After the victim entered a cubicle, Goh went into the neighbouring cubicle.
He then jumped and climbed over the partition between the cubicles to observe her as she relieved herself.
The victim later noticed Goh peering over the partition.
He subsequently fled the scene and drove off.
A police report was filed immediately after the incident, and Goh was later identified through CCTV footage.
He was arrested at his home the following day, on Oct. 7, 2025.
Prior to his sentencing, Goh had been out on $10,000 bail. He began serving his nine-week jail term on Monday.
