In the video, two individuals engaged in a physical altercation, with one woman wearing a security jacket and a man dressed as a security guard pulling each other’s hair.
In the background, a third woman can be heard speaking in Tamil. After releasing each other, the woman in the jacket scolded the man and struck him on the head before walking away.
However, he pursued her and retaliated by hitting her back. The altercation continued with both parties arguing and fighting before the video ended.
The incident was alleged to have occurred near Holland Village at Leedon Heights, according to a twitter post, the video was viral on Facebook at first.
Metropolis Security Systems released a statement on Facebook on Monday (April 3) addressing a video that has recently been circulating on social media.
According to the statement, the video depicts an altercation that took place between two of the company’s security officers one year ago.
“We are aware of an old video that has been circulating on social media. The video shows an altercation between two of our security officers”.
“The event occurred one year ago and we want to assure you that we have since taken swift and decisive action to address it. The behavior depicted in the video is not reflective of Metropolis’ values or the high standards of professionalism we expect from all of our staff. The officers involved have been held accountable for their actions”.
“We will not tolerate any form of misconduct from our employees. We are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all”.
“We want to assure you that we have taken all necessary steps to ensure that such incidents do not occur again in the future”.
“If you receive this or any unsubstantiated messages over Whatsapp or any online platforms, we urge you not to circulate or forward them”.
“We appreciate your continued support and trust in our organization”, the security company said in its statement.
