The body of a 30-year-old woman was discovered in an HDB flat in Dover on December 2, prompting a police investigation.
Authorities received a call for assistance at approximately 5:10 PM and, upon arrival at the residential unit in Dover Road, found the woman lying motionless.
Paramedics from the Singapore Civil Defence Force later pronounced her dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a 34-year-old man, who is believed to have information pertinent to the case, had left Singapore prior to the police’s arrival.
The police confirmed that the man and the deceased woman were known to each other.
According to ST, significant police presence was noted outside the 11th-floor unit at Block 1, with approximately 10 plain-clothes and uniformed officers on-site.
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department were also dispatched to the scene, which had been cordoned off for further investigation.
Residents in the vicinity reported hearing ambulance sirens around the time of the incident, with one neighbor expressing concern over frequent arguments emanating from the unit in recent weeks.
“I’ve heard them arguing quite a lot over the past two months,” said a resident, identified only as Lina.
No further details have been released at this time.
Police investigations are ongoing.
