Ten-year-old Boy Found ‘Foetus’ At Pasir Ris Park While Camping With Family, Police Investigating

On Tuesday the police said that they are investigating the case after a foetus was found at Pasir Ris Park On Saturday.

According to the media reports, the police said that they received a call for assistance at 10.13pm on Saturday.

TEN YEAR OLD FOUND FOETUS

Lianhe Zaobao reported a 10-year-old boy found the foetus under a concrete slab.

The foetus was located near barbecue pit 21. The boy, who was camping with his family, reportedly alerted his mother, who then called the police.

According to the about 20 police officers in seven to eight police cars arrived on the scene and cordoned off the area. They reportedly questioned witnesses and searched the beach area until about 4am on Sunday.

The youngster and his family had camped out at the park around 50 metres from the shore, according to Putra, an eyewitness who spoke with the Chinese Daily.

The 30-year-old said that after they found foetus, about 20 police officers showed up on the scene. He added that they cordoned off the area and asked other campers if they had seen any suspicious people that day.

Later, the boy’s family took down their tent and relocated to a wider area away from where the foetal bones were found, according to Putra.

The police said the age of the foetus is not known.

It is illegal to conceal a child’s birth by secretly burying or otherwise disposing of the dead body of a child, whether the child dies before, after or during its birth, in Singapore.

If found guilty, an offender can face up to 2 years’ jail, or fine, or both.
