In a heartwarming display of integrity, a rojak hawker from Chinatown Complex made headlines after promptly addressing an error involving a customer’s payment.

Victor Goh, the owner of Crispy Rojak, discovered that a customer had mistakenly transferred $100 instead of the intended $10 for his delicious dish.

The incident, which took place on December 10, 2024, was shared by Goh on the Hawkers United – Dabao 2020 Facebook page.

In his post, he informed the customer that a refund of $90 was already on its way.

“To the unknown customer who paid me $100 via NETS QR for his $10 Crispy Rojak, please know that your refund of $90 is on the way, no need to come down personally,” Goh wrote.

He humorously added a plea for customers to be more careful with QR payments, jokingly stating, “Don’t give me Christmas ang bao ah. Thank you!”
