A 29-year-old Chinese national, Han Feizi, who went to jail in Singapore after posting TikTok videos of herself arguing with the police in a hospital, has been deported and permanently banned from re-entering Singapore.

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) confirmed that Han was deported to China on Wednesday, November 8.

According to media reports from CNA & Lianhe Zaobao Han was deported from Singapore on Nov. 8, after serving her imprisonment term.

Han was sentenced on October 25 to five weeks and five days’ jail, as well as a fine of S$600. It is likely that her release took into account her remand period and the standard one-third remission for good behavior.

Han originally applied to work as a clerk for KDL Elements after her student pass application was rejected, according to CNA.

However, she entered Singapore in July on an in-principle approval, and her work permit was issued the following month. Despite this, she never worked at KDL Elements and instead stated in court proceedings that she came to Singapore “for fun”.

During her short stay in Singapore, Han found herself involved in several incidents. She had a drunken altercation with a security guard at her condominium, The Sail at Marina Bay, and engaged in heated arguments with hospital staff and the police at Singapore General Hospital after claiming a Grab driver ran over her foot.

Han had expressed her apologies in court session for causing inconvenience to everyone and pledged to learn from the experience, promising not to reoffend in the future.

The Ministry of Manpower informed CNA that Han’s work pass was revoked after her sentencing, and she will be permanently banned from working in Singapore.
