Malaysian actor Kamal Adli was attacked with an axe at the Singapore Expo on Sunday, 12th March, during the Mega Sale event.
According to the reports, the incident occurred around 9 pm, when Kamal was posing for photos with fans alongside his partner, Uqasha Senrose.
Suddenly, an unidentified man approached Kamal and hit him on the head with a chopper, a type of axe with a long handle, beritaharian reported.
According to the reports, witnesses who were present at the event were left in shock after seeing Kamal covered in blood. The attacker was reportedly carrying a knife as well.
Kamal Adli was taken to the hospital for treatment and is currently recovering.
When contacted by Berita Harian, the police spokesperson stated that they received a call regarding a fight at the Singapore Expo.
A 37-year-old man who was involved in the incident was conscious when taken to the hospital. Another 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack, and investigations are ongoing.
