“I have no money as I have been out of a job for the past two months. I would like to serve a default sentence,” man said in court after he was fined.
We have reported many cases of perverts doing inappropriate things publicly in Singapore, this time a Malaysian national named Lee Sin Hee aged 38, living in Singapore was caught Masturbating in MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) three times.
As per the reports from Channel News Asia (CNA) Lee Sin Hee pleaded guilty to two counts of performing an obscene act, to the annoyance of fellow commuters.
Caught In Act Two Times :
First Time :
On 12 April, 2021 evening Lee Sin Hee was on MRT travelling towards Harbourfront. He was standing near cabin door, looking at woman standing near him & Masturbated in his pants. He stopped masturbating only when the woman alighted at Serangoon station.
After first woman left the train Lee Sin again moved to the Centre of the cabin and stood in front of another victim. He started masturbating again on the same day, he used his bag to cover his hand movements from view, CNA reported.
While the second victim moved to another cabin, Lee’s inappropriate actions were spotted by a man present in the cabin, he stopped him and asked him to alight at the next station. Lee Sin Hee refused at first but later staff at LCK called police for causing public nuisance.
Second Time :
On 21 Aug 2021, Lee was again seen masturbating in train for the third time in 2021 and a woman saw him doing it, she reported it to staff.
According to CNA, Lee Sin was on train heading towards Woodlands along the N-S Line. The train heading to YCK Station from AMK Station when Lee Sin Hee saw a woman sitting in a cabin Lee felt aroused looking at her, and started masturbating in his pants. Again, Lee used his bag to cover his hand movements. After he was done masturbating he alighted at Khatib Station.
All his acts were seen by another woman present in the same cabin, she was travelling with her 8 year-old niece when she saw him doing inappropriate act she immediately shielded her niece from watching it.
Lee Sin Hee was at the court without any lawyer to defend him and he said “I have no money as I have been out of a job for the past two months. I would like to serve a default sentence,”.
When the prosecutor sought a fine of S$2,000, noting that he has no previous convictions. Lee later paid the S$2,000 fine even though he said he was jobless and he will not have to serve the eight days’ jail in default, CNA reported.
The woman was brave & responsible enough to report it to MRT Staff, may be she did not confront him on spot because she was with a 8 year-old. By reporting this she actually helped many other woman from seeing such disgusting scenes on public transport like MRT. When you see someone acting suspicious or doing any inappropriate acts in public don’t be scared to confront such perverts or you can call police immediately for help.
