Youtuber Darryl Ian Koshy familiar with name Dee Kosh is expected to plead guilty over sexual offences which involved male teenagers.
What Are The Charges :
Deekosh to face total three counts of communicating with a minor under 18 to obtain their sexual services, one of attempting to sexually exploit a minor under 18, one of possessing obscene videos, and two of making obscene videos.
Dee Kosh was given above charges in August 2021.
YEAR 2017 & 2018 :
Dee Kosh is accused of offering up to S$2,000 to a 16-year-old boy in February 2017 and S$1,000 to a 17-year-old boy in July 2018 so he could perform sex acts on them, according to the reports.
He is also accused of attempting to procure an indecent act by a 15-year-old boy between March 2018 and June 2018 by asking the boy to perform sex acts on him.
YEAR 2020 :
In August 2020, he allegedly offered another 17-year-old boy S$1,000 for the teen to perform oral sex on him, CNA reported.
WHAT IS 00001 & 00007 :
Dee Kosh was also said to have had 23 obscene films in his possession on 5 October last year at a flat in Woodlands. He allegedly made two obscene films, named “00001” and “00007”, between 2016 and 2017 at the same flat, according to YahooNews.
IF CONVICTED :
- Under the Children and Young Persons Act of attempted sexual exploitation of a young person, he may face a fine not exceeding $10,000, imprisonment for a term of up to five years, or both.
- If found guilty of communications for the purpose of obtaining sexual services of a minor, he could be jailed for up to two years and fined. The penalties for making an obscene film are a jail term of up to two years and a fine of between S$20,000 and S$40,000.
- The punishment for possessing obscene films are a maximum of six months’ jail, a fine of up to S$20,000, or both.
Dee Kosh will plead guilty on 10 March.
