Man Says He Was Bitten By Otters : “26 Times In Just 10-12 Seconds” During Morning Walk

Many of you might have heard about the peacock attack on a 3-year-old girl who was seriously injured. Now again reports of another animal attack has come out, but time it is a “Otter Attack”.

According to the reports from Today Online, A Singapore permanent resident Mr Graham George Spencer was attacked by family of otters near the park’s entrance at Taman Serasi after one more runner ran into their path. Speaking to Today, Mr George told that he goes for morning walk regularly at Singapore Botanical Garden and it was the first time he had seen otters in five months.

“Being quite to going like crazy dogs” :

During his regular morning walk, he was waiting for otters to pass and another runner ran straight into the otters path, that made them angry and Mr George described it as “being quite to going like crazy dogs”. Mr George said the otters appeared to mistake him for the other runner and attacked him instead, while the other runner managed to run past him.

Before biting him, the group of otters hit him in the ankles and pushed to the floor and jumped on top of him and started biting in his shoes, around his buttocks through his shorts for about 10-12 seconds, Today Online reported.

Mr Spencer said, “I was bitten 26 times in 10 seconds. If it wasn’t for my friend, I don’t think I’d still be here. I’d be dead,” Today Reported.

Luckily, Mr George had a friend to help him at the scene soon after the attack his friend ran upto him and took him to the visitors center where the guard offer help.

After the guard offered him first aid he then walked to hospital along with his friend, he was discharged the same day from the hospital. According to reports he spend around S$1200 for his treatment after the otter attack.

In response to the media queries, Group Director of SBG said Nparks is aware of the incident and they’re in touch with the Mr George.
