A 54-year-old Singaporean man has been charged with showing his 10-year-old daughter p*rnography and performing an indecent act with her.
The man, who cannot be named to protect his daughter’s identity, was handed three charges related to the incident on Monday (Jul 1).
The charges include committing an indecent act with a child, exhibiting p*rnography to a child, and possessing 140 obscene films, according to CNA.
The man reportedly committed the indecent act and showed his daughter a p*rnographic video in 2019. He was also found in possession of the obscene films on Feb 11, 2023.
The man has indicated that he will be pleading guilty and has been given a date to do so in August.
If convicted of the indecent act with a child, he could face up to five years in jail, a fine of up to S$10,000, or both.
For showing pornography to a minor, he could be sentenced to up to a year in jail, a fine, or both. If convicted of possessing obscene films, he could face up to six months in jail, a fine of up to S$20,000, or both.
