A 35-year-old guy has been detained by the police on suspicion of being involved in an outrage against modesty.
Around 8.35 am on October 17, 2022, the Police received a report of a woman who was reportedly molested at Marsiling MRT station by unknown guy, according to press release by Singapore Police Force (SPF).
“Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTVs, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 9 November 2022” the police added.
The man will be charged in court on 11 November 2022 with outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code 1871.
The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to three years, a fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.
