A senior citizen 63, pleaded guilty to the charge of having sex with a cat, causing its death.
According to the media reports, Janting Keling, 63, was accused of committing the offence at the Taman Ungku Tun Aminah housing area, Skudai (about 20km from Singapore) at 4.30 am last on 16 April.
He pleaded guilty to the offense under Section 377 of the Penal Code before Judge Fatimah Zahari, Johor Bahru Sessions Court.
The court fixed 25 May for the sentencing as the prosecution requested time for the submission of documents.
He was offered bail of RM15,000 with one surety and the condition that he must report himself to the nearest police station.
He was not represented, however, asked for a reduced sum as he was unemployed.
The old man explained that he was from Sarawak and had recently come to Johor and was staying with his daughter.
The court granted a bail of RM6,000 in one surety and postponed the case for mention on May 25.
Under Section 377, Janting can be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in prison and a fine or whipping.
